Don’t try to export your past data (emails, calendar events, reminders). Focus on having data flowing into the new places instead. Let bygones be bygones. Ideally delete old data if you can.

DuckDuckGo instead of Google (painless);
I'm using LibreWolf for my laptop, a
deleted my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, HackerNews, ProductHunt, LinkedIn, IndieHackers, and a few more lesser-known social media accounts (I hadn't really used them in a long time anyway — painless);
 I rarely turn Bluetooth on (only if I want to listen to music on a speaker), and I turn Wi-Fi off outside home;
I'm using simple stickers or covers for the cameras in our laptops;
I'm using GrapheneOS (after Apple's privacy fiasco), without any Google meddling;
I'm using a custom-made laptop from Tuxedo Computers with Linux Mint (after Apple's fiasco mentioned above), without any Apple meddling;
I'm using a self-hosted NextCloud instance with end-to-end encryption instead of iCloud/Google Photos, Google Drive, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Tasks, and Contacts. It's negligible to maintain and it has a nice UX and great search;
I'm using Proton Drive as a backup of NextCloud, just in case something bad happens to my data there;
For many years I didn't have any analytics at all, but eventually was curious to see which of my apps/pages was getting more traffic, so I've built my own Stats for privacy-respecting server-side analytics, after trying Fathom and Plausible (while I've stopped using them, I'd still recommend them as good alternatives to Google Analytics);
I'm no longer using any wearable (I used to have an Apple Watch for notifications and activity tracking, and an Oura Ring for sleep tracking), so I can keep my phone's bluetooth turned off.

Simple Browser Message Encryption Encrypt and decrypt messages using AES-GCM-256, in your browser, safely. December, 2022 tl;dr; You can encrypt and decrypt messages securely here. You can also see the simple code for it.

Why AES-GCM-256? Because it’s a very secure symmetric cryptographic algorithm that is natively supported in Browsers and in Deno.

Why not just use PGP? I prefer it whenever I can, but it’s not trivial to setup and use for non-technical people. Its assymetric encryption nature is much better.

But you still need to securely share the encryption password. Indeed. And you can do it in person once, or perhaps describe it to the other person (e.g. "use my phone number" or "use your email address") instead of sharing it explicitly.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for your attention and kindness. I really appreciate it!
